Lead the Malaysia design teams to deliver a market leading product range for Discova’s key customer segments of GIT, FIT/Tailormade, In Destination, Groups and Educational travel. Manage and coordinate the design, development and enhancement of new and existing products and itineraries with emphasis on brand differentiation and rich, immersive experiences that delight our customers.

Responsible to develop and execute a strategic product development and design strategy that aligns with business objectives for growth and drives competitive advantage through product differentiation and delivery. Implement a structured product-to-market process that results in product consistency across destinations and a highly profitable range of products and services.

The Essentials:

• Min 5 years experience in travel industry product design with 3 years in a leadership role.
• Comprehensive travel industry knowledge and destination experience
• Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business strategy
• Track record in leading multiple teams
• Experience in developing best practice processes across locations

• Demonstrated supplier negotiation skills and experience
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills across a variety of cultures
• Strong communication skills
• Creative problem solver with results orientation
• Strong team motivator to meet deadlines and targets.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Ability to travel and to work flexible hours as required
• Excellent communicator to a diverse range of people (customers, suppliers, team members, leaders).
• Able to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks and able to work outside office hours when required.
• Work flexibility that may include late nights, weekends and early mornings and flexible with uncertainties/changing priorities and under pressure.
• Personally aligned with Discova’s company purpose and values
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Discova’s systems would be an advantage.
