Job summary
A leading aviation company in Malaysia seeks a qualified individual for a critical quality assurance role. The hired candidate will act as the CAAM-approved Nominated Post Holder, leading the Quality Management System to ensure full regulatory compliance for the ATO. Responsibilities include developing QA policies and procedures, conducting audits, and monitoring training operations. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities
- Act as the CAAM-approved Nominated Post Holder (Quality).
- Lead, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Develop and enforce QA policies, procedures, and controls.
- Plan and conduct internal audits to verify compliance.
- Monitor training operations to ensure compliance with ATO standards.
- Oversee instructor governance and training records.
- Proactively monitor quality performance indicators.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine quality initiatives.
- Ensure audit readiness at all times.
- Champion a strong quality culture across the Academy.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Professional certification in Quality (ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor) or aviation regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
- At least 3–5 years’ working experience, including in a role as a quality assurance specialist, or a similar compliance monitoring role.
- Act as the CAAM-approved Nominated Post Holder (Quality), ensuring full regulatory compliance for the ATO.
- Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with CAAM, other regulators and the company/organisational requirements.
- Develop and enforce QA policies, procedures, and controls to standardise and strengthen all training and instructional activities.
- Plan and conduct systematic internal audits to verify that approved policies and procedures are consistently followed, identify gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions to strengthen training quality.
- Monitor training operations and delivery to ensure compliance with ATO standards, manuals, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee instructor governance, including scheduling, competency records, and deployment in accordance with regulatory and business needs.
- Oversee centralised documentation and training records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Proactively monitor quality performance indicators and trends, using data and feedback to recommend improvements, mitigate risks, and prevent recurrence of non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, review, and refine policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives that impact training quality.
- Ensure audit readiness at all times, including maintaining updated manuals, records, evidence, and organisational processes to support CAAM and other regulatory inspections, renewal audits, and compliance reviews.
- Champion a strong quality culture across the Academy through effective communication, process optimisation, and best-practice implementation.
