Job summary

A logistics company in Penang is looking for a Warehouse Runner Buyer to manage sourcing and inventory. You will monitor stock levels, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely order fulfilment. Ideal candidates should have at least SPM qualifications and be Malaysian citizens. Experience in retail or grocery operations is preferred. Job description

The warehouse Runner Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods for the warehouse, managing inventory to meet demand, building relationships with suppliers for best prices and timely deliveries, and ensuring accurate order fulfilment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, adjusting ordering based on consumption patterns and demand fluctuations.
  • Establish and manage PAR levels (periodic automatic replenishment) and reorder points.
  • Assist with physical and system inventory counts and make necessary adjustments.
  • Strategically source products and materials for best prices, quality, and value.
  • Create, process, and update purchase orders (POs).
  • Coordinate with vendors to secure timely delivery of shipments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors.
  • Handle returns to vendors when necessary.
  • Manage discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving report
Job Requirements
  • Minimum SPM or equivalent
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen.
  • 0-2 years of working experience in retail, grocery, or warehouse operations; experience in retail, FMCG, or grocery operations is preferred.
  • Owns a reliable vehicle for transport
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
