Hume Cement Sdn Bhd, an established player in the cement industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager (Plant Improvement) to join their dynamic team. This full-time position is based in Gopeng, Perak, and will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's plant improvement initiatives.

What you'll be doing
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans for plant improvement initiatives
  • Coordinating and managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation
  • Responsible for preparing & compile CER (Capex Expenditure Request) documents for management’s approval
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of plant improvement projects
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks, and reporting to senior management
  • Ensuring projects adhere to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Providing leadership, mentoring, and support to the project team
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 5‑7 years of experience as a Project Manager in the cement/heavy industry, with a focus on plant improvement projects
  • Proven track record in successfully managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects from conception to completion
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, project management methodologies, and plant operations
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross‑functional groups
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical), Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree in project management or construction management may be preferred for more significant projects
