Job Title: Electrical Technical Writer

Location: Stafford, UK

Contract Type: Contract – Inside IR35

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12 month contract

Rate: TBC

Spencer Ogden is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Writer for a UK-based contract role located in Stafford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly skilled engineering team on cutting-edge HVDC electrical engineering grid development.

1. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and technicians to collect and accurately document technical information related to electrical engineering tests and results.
2. Produce high-quality technical documentation, including test reports, user manuals, and technical specifications.
3. Conduct reviews to ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
4. Translate complex technical data into clear, understandable content for both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Ensure all documentation reflects the latest changes in processes, technologies, and standards.
6. Assist in the development and enforcement of documentation standards and best practices.
7. Manage and maintain documents within a documentation management system.

1. Proven experience as a technical writer within an electrical engineering or related technical environment.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to present complex information clearly.
4. Familiarity with documentation management systems and technical authoring tools.
5. Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment.
