Job Title: External Funding Bid Writer
Location: Walsall

Working structure: Remote.
Rate: PAYE £25.25ph / Umbrella £34.53
Length: 6 Months on-going

Opus People Solutions are currently recruiting for an External Funding Bid Writer.

Main purpose of the job role:

• Working under the direction of the External Funding and Business Development Manager, to enhance bidding activity and secure significant levels of external funding that support organisational and partner ambitions and strategic objectives. This includes drafting an External Funding Strategy, identifying and securing funding from various agencies, leading on bid submissions, and coordinating action across services and partners to maximize success.

Key duties:

• Support the drafting, consultation, and implementation of a new External Funding Strategy aligned with organisational priorities.

• Lead and facilitate joint working across departments and key partners/stakeholders to support successful implementation of the strategy.

• Establish and run an effective External Funding Group to bring together key players, develop funding proposals, and share resources and best practices.

• Develop strong relationships with voluntary, private, and commercial sectors locally and beyond to support strategy delivery.

• Ensure compliance with external grants procedures and clarify responsibilities for all involved in applications.

• Lead on drafting timely, high-quality bid submissions that successfully attract significant new funding.
