An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is keen to learn new skills and advance their career. You should be highly professional, well‑organised and capable of working under pressure. You will join our experienced team in providing a medical equipment management, maintenance, repair and support services for the Trust and other healthcare providers in the area. You will be educated in a suitable engineering subject with a basic understanding of medical device functionality and safety requirements. You will receive comprehensive training and support in your role, and you are expected to demonstrate your desire to continue your professional development by reaching defined learning goals and successfully completing internal and external training courses.

As a Band 3 Medical Engineer you will support the maintenance, calibration, and safety testing of medical equipment across clinical departments, working under the supervision of senior engineers. You will ensure devices are functioning reliably and safely, contributing directly to patient care and clinical efficiency.

• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on a wide range of medical devices (e.g., infusion pumps, ECG machines, defibrillators).
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of service history, faults, and repairs using asset management systems.
• Respond to equipment faults and carry out first‑line diagnostics and repairs.
• Support clinical staff with equipment use and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and NHS protocols.
• Participate in equipment audits and inventory management.

• A/Levels, ONC, BTEC, NVQ3, or an equivalent qualification.
