A leading financial services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join their mortgage team. This role involves underwriting new mortgages while supporting junior team members. Key responsibilities include assessing complex cases, liaising with stakeholders, and leading the application process. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise in residential and BTL lending, alongside experience with complex self-employed accounts. The firm offers a hybrid working model, with some required office presence in Leicestershire.
Being part of the wider mortgage team, as a Senior Underwriter you will not only manually underwrite and process new mortgages but also offer support and training to the more junior members of the team. Duties will include:
Our client offers a hybrid working arrangement across their business. Whilst 40% of your working time in the office would be preferred, they are happy to consider individuals who can commit to 3 days per month at their head office in Leicestershire.
Are you an experienced, Senior Mortgage Underwriter, who has a wealth of experience in specialist residential and BTL lending? The nature of the loans are for complex scenarios within the Residential, BTL, Holiday Lets and Bridging space. Due to this, we are seeking an individual who has strong experience and skills within niche, complex lending, including exposure to complex self‑employed accounts.
