Senior IT Engineer

Perfil buscado (Hombre/Mujer): Provides support to end users for workstation, server, and mobile device (hardware and software). Supports engineering applications running on Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS 7, and Windows 10. Prepares, deploys, and ships new hardware to remote sites and end users. Deployment of on-premises hardware such as routers, switches, Ethernet cabling, servers, workstations, monitors, printers, etc. Manages user accounts in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers such as Azure Active Directory and LastPass. Performs software installations, patches, and upgrades to maintain systems security and integrity. Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system issues. Creates and maintains appropriate systems documentation. Escalates complex issues to subject matter experts as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

2. Exceptional attention to detail
3. 5+ years of experience with Linux desktop support, preferably Ubuntu and RHEL/CentOS 7+
4. 5+ years of experience with Windows desktop support
5. 5+ years of experience with hardware maintenance tasks such as racking servers, switches, deploying workstations, setting up printers, etc.
6. Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as the OSI model, TCP/IP stack, communication protocols, firewalls, routing, etc.
7. Physical ability to rack servers, move equipment, crawl under desks, change Ethernet cables at the switch and wall port, etc.
8. Flexibility to work on call, if necessary
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications:

1. IT related certification from Red Hat, Microsoft, CompTIA, VMWare, etc.
2. Experience with virtualization products such as Hyper-V or VMWare
3. Experience with cloud Infrastructure as a Service such as AWS or Azure
4. Experience with Cisco Meraki network infrastructure
5. Experience with macOS, iOS, and Android devices
6. Scripting and automation experience
7. Experience with Dell iDRAC
