Job Description
Job's Mission
- Ensure sustainable adoption of our PRESERFLO MicroShunt among carefully selected users and promoters by providing state-of-the-art surgical training and appropriate follow-up.
- Establish PRESERFLO MicroShunt as the reference surgical treatment for all glaucoma surgeons.
- Actively develop our Surgical Team & capabilities locally and enable collaboration with the team managing our glaucoma Rx franchise.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Identify and develop new accounts in surgical glaucoma.
- Conduct and support local training related to glaucoma drainage surgery.
- Build sustainable relationships with KOLs across your territory: ROSTOCK, BERLIN, DRESDEN, LEIPZIG, BRAUNSCHWEIG.
- Collaborate with Santen Pricing & Market-Access Team to maximize MicroShunt potential regionally and across EMEA.
- Create innovative acquisition plans to ensure sustainable business growth.
- Achieve sales targets and plan operations for maximum ROI.
- Identify sales trends and profitable opportunities, aligning resources accordingly.
- Work with sales management, marketing, and customer service to provide top-tier service.
- Manage the territory's financial budget.
- Provide technical expertise regarding the product portfolio.
- Utilize reporting tools to maintain up-to-date customer and territory data, sharing valuable insights organization-wide.
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in health or business-related field or equivalent qualification – desirable.
- Scientific and/or medical degrees such as optometry or related specialties.
Experience
Essential
- At least five years of experience in industry sales.
- Experience in hospital sales or Key Account Management preferred.
- Experience supporting new technology use in operating rooms.
Desirable
- Strong sales performance history, commercially savvy, results-driven.
- Experience in Ophthalmology is a plus but not essential.

- Proficient in German and English at C1 level, spoken and written.
