Job description

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

The opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic person to join our Executive Assistant Group (EAG). EAG is our team of self-motivated EAs who support our Partners and are a key part of our Core Business Services team. We keep our organization running strong by working to deliver exceptional service, supporting EY’s growth and profitability, in line with its vision of building a better working world.

Our EAs are driven administrative professionals who enjoy teaming with colleagues while striving to understand and anticipate needs to exceed expectations. On any given day, your key responsibilities may include:

Business support

  1. Engagement maintenance - Support the client engagement management process, including tracking and reporting time & expenses as needed; running reports; maintaining accurate client and contact data; and play a key role in the billing process.
  2. Document management - Use firm brand standards to create and format letters, proposals, presentations, and reports using various Microsoft tools.
  3. Meetings & events - Coordinate virtual and in-person meetings & small events (internal and external); liaise with designated teams for larger events; manage travel using our firm’s dedicated agents and travel tool; and independently manage multiple calendars.

Teaming
  1. Participate in meetings and learning events; engage in team initiatives and projects; and provide short-term backup support for your colleagues and cover reception duties as required.

Skills and attributes for success:
  1. Outstanding time management and organizational skills in a demanding fast-paced environment.
  2. Proven ability to prioritize and meet multiple and/or unexpected deadlines.
  3. Strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to problem solve and anticipate the executive’s needs and be solution-oriented.
  4. Agility and flexibility in response to changing priorities and needs with proactive follow-through.
  5. Committed to contributing to a strong team culture to ensure success.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships to efficiently leverage expertise.
  7. Sound judgement regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  8. Ability to multi-task and learn quickly, while being adaptable to change.
  9. Be an ambassador for new technology and processes, and be eager to engage in continuous learning and development.

To qualify for the role, you must have:
  1. Post-secondary education and/or relevant experience.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with proven ability to learn customized software/tools.
  3. Excellent customer service and proven team player with strong written and oral communications skills.

What We Offer
At EY, our Total Rewards package supports our commitment to creating a leading people culture - built on high-performance teaming - where everyone can achieve their potential and contribute to building a better working world for our people, our clients and our communities. It's one of the many reasons we repeatedly win awards for being a great place to work.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. In addition, our Total Rewards package allows you to decide which benefits are right for you and which ones help you create a solid foundation for your future. Our Total Rewards package includes a comprehensive medical, prescription drug and dental coverage, a defined contribution pension plan, a great vacation policy plus firm paid days that allow you to enjoy longer long weekends throughout the year, statutory holidays and paid personal days (based on province of residence), and a range of exciting programs and benefits designed to support your physical, financial and social well-being. Plus, we offer:
  1. Support, coaching and feedback from some of the most engaging colleagues around.
  2. Opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career.
  3. The freedom and flexibility to handle your role in a way that’s right for you.

Diversity and Inclusion at EY
Diversity and inclusiveness are at the heart of who we are and how we work. We’re committed to fostering an environment where differences are valued, policies and practices are equitable, and our people feel a sense of belonging. We embrace diversity and are committed to combating systemic racism, advancing gender equity and women in leadership, advocating for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, promoting our neuroinclusion and accessibility initiatives, and are dedicated to amplifying the voices of Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) nationally as we strive towards reconciliation. Our diverse experiences, abilities, backgrounds, and perspectives make our people unique and help guide us. Because when people feel free to be their authentic selves at work, they bring their best and are empowered to build a better working world.
