Your Opportunity:
This position provides administrative and clinical staffing operations support to the Unit Managers of the Medicine and CCU Portfolio regarding the coordination of all staff-related activities within the unit/service areas. This position works with the unit managers to coordinate and ensure baseline staff scheduling across classifications in a unionized environment. An essential role in liaising with multiple business areas within the zone. Examples include Provincial Staffing Services Red Deer, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Position Management, This Business Advisory Services, Rotation Management and the HR Contact Centre. The Liaison is responsible for ensuring that the business of staffing and scheduling the units/area operates effectively and efficiently which in turn supports the managers in providing quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Additional Required Qualifications:
An equivalent combination of progressive work experience and education will be considered. 5 years' experience in a unionized, health care environment required. 3 years' experience in a role related to staffing in an acute healthcare environment with multiple staff classifications. Working Knowledge of ESP, RMS, payroll codes and union contracts. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in working with various computer programs including e-People and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree completion preferred. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role is required. Able to operate in a stressful, demanding environment. Attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written skills, and fluency in the English language are essential. Proven time management and organizational skills. Well-developed critical thinking skills.
