We are currently recruiting for a Trainertojoin our Health & Safety team located in Dubai.
Scope: responsible for developing, implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety training programs for Transguard staff in accordance with international standards, legal requirements, and contractual requirements. Trainer is responsible to provide advice and counseling pertaining to regulatory compliance with health and safety laws, codes, regulations, standards, and the related Transguard requirements.
The individual is expected to be a provider of information, giving technical guidance on all Health, Safety, Wellbeing matters, identifying and advising on current and future requirements and ensuring that systems, policies and processes are in place to prevent incidents and support the continuing development of a Health & Safety culture across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the development & delivery of high quality, innovative and engaging Health & Safety certified courses that meet all required aspects of the employees learning needs meeting business budgets.
- Deliver and facilitate structured safety and regulatory training and development programs and initiatives in support of the Transguard ’s requirements, objectives, and brand essence.
- Develop long term strategic plan to establish profit generating BU through training provision to external parties.
- Provide inputs for the budget preparation for the resources required for the delivery of desired training outcomes.
Customer
- Perform regular training needs analysis and develop training plans in accordance with analysis outputs and BU/client needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely training records and reports through strong alignment and engagement with COE team.
- Flexibility to deliver training sessions during any of the operating shifts and be available to the needs of the various client groups in the COE and/or client locations.
- Work collaboratively with other trainers and Training Coordinator, and with member leaders in the development and execution of training.
- Strive to achieve training delivery targets/KPIs set by the Manager.
Process
- Develop policies and procedure related to administration, planning, delivery, assessment, recording and reporting Health & Safety trainings.
- Perform administrative duties to track completion of training, scheduling of classes and resources, compile and prepare statistical information on training program status.
- Prepare and present periodic reports of the training delivery performance.
- Provide coaching, reinforcement of safety policy and procedures in cooperation with operations BU to staff.
- Update materials as dictated by changes in regulations and/or programs.
- Ensure UAE statutory Health & Safety standards and processes are embedded into the training plans wherever possible.
- Maintain technical excellence levels for all Health & Safety training material through continuous upgradation of training contents, policies and procedures.
- Conduct training assessment and gauge level of understanding of information delivered to trainees and maintain the records of assessments.
Skills
Selection Criteria
- 4-5 years of experience in similar field
- Bachelor’s degree in science, Health & Safety or equivalent from recognized university
- Any Recognized qualification in Health & Safety such as NEBOSH IGC or NVQ etc.
- Have essential certifications/authorizations from competent local and international authorities to deliver trainings
- Lead/internal Auditor qualification in Health & Safety management system (ISO 45001 / 14001) would be an advantage
- Good knowledge in implementing Health & Safety standard including policy/ procedures, ISO standard such as ISO 45001, 14001 etc.
- Knowledge of the UAE Health & Safety legislation, code of practice & municipality guidelines, OSHAD or other emirates Health & Safety regulations
- Good communicator written and spoken
- Excellent knowledge of MS office
- Good in report writing
- Teamwork/ collaborative approach. Critical Thinking and analytical approach
