Job description

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor for our client, who will be based out of their Dubai office.

Job Scope:

The Maintenance Supervisor manages the company's fleet, equipment, and office maintenance, schedules tasks, supervises workers (including third parties), and handles emergencies, ensuring productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet and 3rd Party Maintenance Suppliers:

  1. Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for reviewing and providing feedback for new fleet manufacturing and commissioning.
  2. Compliant with the Maintenance Business system and usages, both internal and 3rd party Maintenance Providers.
  3. Contract Holder for 3rd party Maintenance Providers, managing a minimum Quarterly Service Quality Meeting with providers for Continuous Improvement.

Maintenance and Scheduling:

  1. Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
  2. Ensure SOPs are followed by the team and 3rd party suppliers, highlight required updates if necessary.
  3. Coordinate, schedule, and audit fleet and equipment maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical, and electrical repair to tractors, trucks, and trailers, loading skids.
  4. Reducing fleet-related expenses to increase revenue.
  5. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
  6. Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
  7. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, including periodic Service Quality Meeting.
  8. Provide Data analysis and reporting.
  9. Continuous improvement of the Maintenance System by collaborating with the Product Technology team, improving usages by training and monitoring 3rd party maintenance providers/suppliers as End Users.
  10. Continuous monitoring of manpower (including 3rd party allocated manpower) status to minimize disruption to business, such as headcount sizing, competency, and training.
  11. Evaluating, Recruiting, and Training of Technical manpower when applicable, Training of End Users of Fleet and Equipment when required.

HSEQ:

  1. Ensure HUB/Site Safety, including relevant Fleet Safety Standard and Safe Operations by the team, providing required guidance and training as necessary.
  2. Active and timely review of HSEQ events, ensuring proper Root Cause Analysis on fleet/equipment-related failures and action plans developed and closed.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  1. Excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of vehicle and equipment maintenance, compliance with government regulations, and data analysis skills.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, with previous managerial experience, is an advantage.
  4. Valid UAE driving license, preferably a Heavy-Duty Driving License.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication with English. Other languages like Arabic and Hindi are also an advantage.
  6. In-depth knowledge of the logistical systems and the supply chain.
  7. Strong analytics and Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  8. A good understanding of budgets and maintenance expenses.
  9. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
