Responsibility for delivery of valuation engagements
Responsibilities
- Project management: assume day‑to‑day responsibility for valuation assignments across multiple infrastructure sectors; manage significant projects with director's supervision
- Lead on the research, benchmarking and analytical work informing our valuation opinions
- Ensure that reports are of a high standard and delivered to deadlines
- Client / BD: manage client onboarding and key clients
- Contribute to proposals and business development activity (incl. identifying new targets and contacts) and build key client relationships in the sector or geographic area allocated
- Learning & Development: develop and sustain competencies, build sector expertise, stay updated with latest sector developments
- Team Development: develop junior members through effective management in assignments and mentoring; deliver training if required
- Financial management: help ensure valuation team budgets are met; assist with team admin including provisioning and billing
- Develop close working relationship with other teams; identify and monitor strategy for winning joint engagements
Requirements / Person Specification
- Valuation experience: broad and deep, at least 3‑5 years at Consultant / Assistant Manager level
- Understanding of the value drivers in debt and equity valuations
- Experience of valuations across multiple geographies (desired)
- Experience of applying different valuation methodologies
- Strong analytical capability; some experience of infrastructure and energy sector work helpful
- Ability to analyse third‑party due diligence reports (in the context of infrastructure)
- Ability to interpret project finance models and run scenario / sensitivity analysis
- Write clear, accurate, logically structured reports in English and lead valuation engagements with minimal supervision
- High proficiency with Excel; interest in new technologies such as Power BI, AI tools, etc.
- Client experience: managing client relationships and working with large corporations and funds; win repeat business or new engagements
- Experience providing valuations for listed companies / funds; understanding of engagement and client take‑on processes
- Other desirable skills / qualifications: CA, CFA, MBA or equivalent from a premier institute; experience with a top‑tier valuations practice / investment bank / fund manager; knowledge of Bloomberg, Capital IQ and other valuation software / tools; experience coaching teams and running project teams; high initiative and pro‑activity in all aspects
