Role : Chief Investment Officer Category : Asset Management Location : Centurion Salary : Market-Related A leading investment management firm is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the development and implementation of innovative investment strategies.

This executive role will take full accountability for managing flagship equity model portfoliosboth locally and internationally and will play a key role in guiding portfolio managers through empirical research and strategic input.

Key Responsibilities : Investment Strategy & Oversight : Lead and manage the development of local and global equity model portfolios.

Establish and oversee the investment philosophy, ensuring alignment across all strategies and initiatives.

Provide strategic input into investment policy and ensure implementation and adherence to mandates.

Continuously monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities for enhancing client returns.

Research & Portfolio Insights : Supervise the investment research agenda, ensuring it identifies areas of outperformance across sectors and securities.

Mentor and guide equity analysts to align with the broader investment process.

Offer evidence-based recommendations to portfolio managers to support buy / sell / hold decisions.

Governance, Risk & Compliance : Drive risk management strategies within the investment function.

Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, internal policies, and governance structures.

Chair the firms internal Investment Committee.

Leadership & Talent Development : Provide strategic direction to investment and research teams.

Identify and leverage strategic partnerships to expand investment offerings.

Drive a high-performance culture through clear goal-setting, coaching, and performance management.

Promote transformation and inclusivity in line with company goals.

Qualifications & Experience : Postgraduate degree in Investment Management, Finance, Actuarial Science, Quantitative or Risk Management.

years experience in investment management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.

Proven success in managing equity portfolios across multiple markets and sectors.

Strong track record in both local and global equity research and portfolio management.
