As a Barista at Wiesenhof Coffee Shop, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages.

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, specialty drinks, and teas, according to Wiesenhof recipes and quality standards.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.
• Take accurate customer orders, process payments, and handle cash or POS transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas in line with health and safety standards.
• Restock and replenish supplies, including coffee beans, milk, pastries, and other items.
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist in training new team members when required.
• Promote Wiesenhof's brand by recommending menu items and upselling where appropriate.
• Handle customer complaints or queries professionally, escalating issues to the supervisor or manager when needed.
• Support the overall team by performing additional tasks, such as assisting with stock deliveries and shop closing/opening duties.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Basic knowledge of coffee preparation methods and passion for the coffee industry.

Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

Good numeracy skills for handling transactions.

• Previous experience as a barista or in a hospitality/retail environment is advantageous (training will be provided).
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices.
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused personality.
• Must NOT have completed Matric.
• Must live close to the coffee shop area.

From R28,79 per hour
