Job summary
A leading company in HR services is seeking a Human Resources Officer responsible for managing employee relations and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will support HR administration, provide expert knowledge on legal compliance, and collaborate across functional teams. Requirements include a matric and tertiary HR qualification, along with a minimum of 3 years experience in a unionized environment. The role is based in Pinetown, South Africa and offers a salary that is market-related dependent on experience.

Experience: 2 years (preferred) Human Resources
Responsible for employee relations, talent acquisition, and organizational development.
Directly reports to the HR Manager.
- Support and act as point of contact on HR topics for employees and line managers.
- Talent acquisition across different levels.
- Provide advice, support and execute activities on employee compliance with legal requirements.
- Deliver guidance on policies and procedures to employees and line management.
- Provide expert knowledge and support for legislated authorization bodies.
- Participate in organizational development initiatives, training and development, and general HR administration.
- Contribute to process delivery and improve HR information system.
- Provide professional HR support in operational/administrative issues.
- Participate in projects and contribute to a service culture to fulfill SLA with stakeholders.
- Matric and tertiary HR qualification.
- Minimum 3 years HR partnering experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong knowledge of HRIS (Workday beneficial).
- Excellent communicator (written, verbal, listening) at various levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail; innovative and able to drive processes forward.
- Analytical, insightful, courageous, and decisive.
- Team player; collaborates across functional teams.
- High integrity, care and honesty.
