Introduction
Are you passionate about IT support and problem-solving? Join our team at InteliGro as a Junior IT Administrator. We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide IT support, manage hardware and software, and ensure smooth IT operations.This position will provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and network issues and manage user accounts, system security, and backups. The Junior IT Administrator must maintain IT assets and support business-critical systems. In addition, this position will assist with cybersecurity measures and IT compliance.This position is based at InteliGro’s Viljoenskroon office, with occasional travel to other branches in South Africa. Reliable personal transport is essential for this position.
IT Support and Infrastructure Management
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Maintain IT systems, including Network infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Windows Servers, cloud-based and virtual platforms, backup environment, MFPs.
Incident and Problem Resolution- Log, track, and resolve IT incidents using the InteliGro Service Desk platform.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, WAN).
- Ensure endpoint security, antivirus updates, and data encryption compliance.
IT Asset and Inventory Management- Maintain accurate records of IT hardware, software, and licensing.
- Oversee IT asset lifecycles, including procurement, upgrades, and decommissioning.
Backup and Disaster Recovery- Perform daily system backups and ensure compliance with backup policies.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing, and business continuity measures.
Security and Compliance- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
- Manage user accounts, system access, and security protocols.
- Assist with IT audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
IT Training and Documentation- Provide/advise on user training on IT systems, security best practices, and software applications.
- Create/maintain IT documentation, manuals, and technical reports/logs.
IT Budgeting and Procurement- Assist with the annual IT budget process and identify hardware/software procurement needs aligned with business goals.
- Ensure timely purchases within budget and compliance with procurement policies.
- Track and capture budget expenditure monthly.
IT Projects- Assist with the implementation and management of IT projects
Education & Experience- 3 years’ experience within a similar role or IT Diploma or Degree
Skills- Windows 11: General support and troubleshooting
- Windows Server: Active Directory, DNS & DHCP management
- Veeam Backup: Managing IT backups
- Networking: Troubleshooting of cabling, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN, WAN, and internet connectivity
- Excellent interpersonal skills
