Job title: Sub-Section Commander: Enterprise Security Supervisor (Lieutenant Colonel)

1. Applicant must display competency in the post-specific functions of the post;
2. Be in possession of a Senior Certificate (Grade 12);
3. Be proficient in at least two (2) official languages, of which one (1) must be English;
4. Must be a South African citizen;
5. Must have no previous criminal/departmental convictions or criminal or departmental cases pending;
6. Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening;
7. Be in possession of at least a valid light motor vehicle driver’s licence;
8. Must not have tattoos which will be visible when wearing any uniform of the Service;
9. Relevant courses in the field of the post may be an advantage.

1. A three (3) year Diploma/Degree (SAQA accredited on NQF level 6 or higher) in Security Management, Policing, Criminology or other related field of study, with three (3) years relevant experience in the field of post of which two (2) should be on supervisory level; SSA Security Management/Advisory courses will be an advantage.

1. Ensure management of the physical security and security administration functions within the DPCI;
2. Plan, coordinate, manage and support gatherings, medium and low risk categorised events;
3. Manage security breach investigations;
4. Manage security control room and key control;
5. Ensure all technology and security aids are in working condition at National level;
6. Implement security policies and directives;
7. Overseeing conformation to- and applying standards for information security, as prescribed by the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) and Protection of Information Act;
8. Manage and utilize all resources (human, physical and financial) allocated to the immediate post environment in accordance with relevant directives and legislation.
