A leading online trading organisation in South Africa, seeking an experienced Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to manage its full technology operations. The role involves overseeing the technology stack, driving innovation, and collaborating with senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years in senior tech leadership, particularly in Forex/CFD, Fintech, or high-volume call-centre environments. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to lead the full technology operations of a large, established online trading company.
The CTO will oversee the entire technology stack, including trading infrastructure, onboarding funnels, CRM systems, call‑centre technology, integrations, cybersecurity, and all digital platforms.
The role requires deep knowledge of Forex / CFD, Fintech, or high‑volume call‑centre environments, along with proven leadership experience at senior or C‑Suite level.
You will direct system architecture, ensure operational stability, manage multiple technical teams, and drive innovation across the organisation.
The CTO will work closely with senior leadership across Operations, Compliance, Risk, Marketing, and Sales to create a seamless, secure, and scalable trading environment for clients.
This is a high‑impact role with full ownership of the company's technology performance and future roadmap.
Requirements 5+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology).
Strong background in Forex / CFD, Fintech, Call Centre tech, or Online Trading.
Expert knowledge of CRM systems and API integrations.
Deep understanding of VoIP / SIP dialers, softphones, call recording, and QA platforms.
Experience with client portals, onboarding funnels, KYC / AML systems, and affiliate tracking.
Strong knowledge of cloud hosting, server infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience working with high‑volume data, reporting systems, and automation tools.
Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams (Dev, IT, Infra, QA, Support).
Strong vendor and SLA management experience.
Ability to manage budgets, roadmaps, and large‑scale technical projects end‑to‑end.
Strategic thinker with excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Highly organised, accountable, and able to drive long‑term system scalability and resilience.
