Debt Collection jobs in South Africa

My client in the security industry is looking to employ a reliable and professional Accountant.

You will be responsible for various aspects of the accounting function, including:

1. Allocating bank receipts
2. Reviewing debt collection and correspondence
3. Preparing journals for auditors

Requirements:

1. Allocate bank receipts on Sage, as well as customer invoices and statements
2. Review client debt collection, and act as client liaison for critical services
3. Review debt collection and correspondence with key account clients, and ad-hoc invoices
4. Manage onboarding debit order clients and cancellations
5. Pull creditors invoices, review and process on Sage, reconcile and submit for payment
6. Import CSV uploads to Sage for petty cash, DB cash cards, debit orders, and creditors payments
7. Put together data and information required for labour inspections
8. Responsible for annual license renewals, including PAPA License, PSIRA Licenses, etc.
9. Manage sharedrive scanning and labelling
10. Responsible for petty cash within the office
11. Maintain monthly net cash debit orders, onboard new clients and submit monthly payments
12. Compile and calculate PPS invoices for clients
13. Load beneficiaries and payments on ABSA banking system
14. Review, load and reconcile DB cash cards
15. Prepare journals from accounts data for auditors to review and process
16. Monthly reconciliations for payroll and general balance sheet clearing accounts
17. Maintain fixed asset register, depreciation and reconciliations monthly
18. Maintain costings, reconciliations and reports
19. Train and manage junior clerks

Additional Requirements:

1. Must have Higher Diploma / Degree in Financial Accounting
2. Must have 5+ years of Financial Accounting experience
3. Must have excellent MS Excel, Word, and Outlook experience
4. Proficient in Sage
5. Good communication skills written and verbal (English / Afrikaans)
6. Must be on time, reliable, patient, and professional
7. Must be bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
