Job Opportunity: Civil Engineering Technician / Technologist

We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Civil Engineering Technician /Technologist to join our dynamic company!

Position:

• Civil Engineering Technician with 10+ years’ experience
• OR
• Civil Engineering Technologist with 5+ years’ experience

Location: Century City- Cape Town

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to contribute to a variety of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure development, roads, stormwater, sewer, and bulk earthworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a hands-on approach, and the ability to manage projects from design through to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review civil engineering designs and drawings
• Oversee site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and SANS standards
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to project planning, reporting, and quality control
• Problem-solving on technical challenges across various civil projects

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification (Diploma or BTech in Civil Engineering)
• Proven experience as specified (Technician: 10+ yrs | Technologist: 5+ yrs)
• Strong knowledge of SANS 1200 and civil construction practices
• Excellent communication and project management skills
