Murex MXML Developer
Job summary
A global consulting firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Murex MxML Developer to work on migrating MT messages to MX format. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years in application development, particularly within the banking industry, with expertise in MXML and Treasury products. Responsibilities include reviewing templates, conducting gap analyses, and developing new mappings. This role offers the chance to enhance banking workflows and automation.
Qualifications
- 4+ years' work experience in application development, preferably in the banking/treasury industry.
- Experience in MXML (Workflow, Interfaces & Templates) and Datamart Configuration & Development.
- Knowledge of FXMM, Fixed Income, and Equities.
Responsibilities
- Review existing active MT templates and provide suggestions for consolidation.
- Perform a gap analysis to convert MT mappings to MX format.
- Develop new MX templates for unrecognized message types.
Skills
We require an experienced Murex MxML Developer responsible to work across our client base.The Mxml developer would need to be part of the Murex ISO20022 Project to migrate MT messages into MX format for all message types.The role would need to focus on migrating MT into MX (ISO20022 standard) and to optimise the workflows to generate the messages and ACK/NACK.The project covers all active templates in Murex Regional systems for all entities.
- Review all existing active MT templates and provide suggestion to consolidate the MT messages into MX format for all products and entities.
- Perform a gap analysis to understand the current MT mappings or format to a specific products or entities and to be adapted into MX format.
- Enhance the underlying Murex MX package with a specific requirements or mappings for each of the templates.
- Develop new MX template for those message types which are not covered by Murex MX package.
- Develop new ACK/NACK mappings to change the status of the payment flows.
- Develop new automation of MxML or Unix shell script for a real time interface.
- Simplify the interface current workflow to generate the MX messages and workflow for ACK/NACK.
- Clean up redundant workflow which are not used by the system.
- Knowledge transfer to existing EAD developers for future enhancements or developments.
- Prepare write-ups and regularly train Support team on common issues observed and how to manage them with new MX messages.
- Provide post live support and any enhancements or new developments required by users.
Must have
- 4+ years' work experience in application development, preferably in the banking/treasury industry
- Experience in MX2.11 and MX3.1Front Office: FXMM, Fixed Income, Equities Product Knowledge,Back Office: MXML (Workflow, Interfaces & Templates) and Datamart Configuration & Development
- Experience in Error handling.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in Treasury products.
- Experienced in coding and programming

- Good to have MLC End of Day knowledge
