Job summary
A leading e-commerce platform is looking for a maintenance technician in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The role involves supporting day-to-day machine operations, attending to breakdown and maintenance complaints, and performing repairs and installations. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with experience in warehouse environments being a plus. Knowledge of PLC systems and material flow control is essential for this dynamic position.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a warehouse environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenance.
- Attend to breakdown and maintenance complaints promptly.
- Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment.

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.
- Willing to work on rotational shifts
- Working Location: Pulau indah 42000, Klang / Bukit Raja Selatan 40000, Shah Alam
- Support day-to-day machine monitoring and maintenances to ensure smooth business operation
- Attend to breakdown & maintenance complaints promptly
- Carry out installation and commissioning of new equipment and scheduled maintenance works according to the checklist at designated areas / sites
- Perform minor repair & diagnose faults
- Repair, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machine where required
- Maintain proper record of machines & machine service history
- Perform ad hoc or other jobs as assigned by the engineer
- Assist Lead Engineers to review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintenance program
- Obtaining, designing special component, fixture, fittings
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent experience with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems
- Experience in a warehouse environment would be an added advantage
- Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and controlling system
- Have strong knowledge in repairing mechanical parts e.g. Conveyor belt, roller, barring etc.
- Have knowledge in Warehouse Controlling Systems / Integration solutions with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Able to read and utilize mechanical & electrical schematics to assist in troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and electronic components
- Good in Material Flow Control software
- Able to multitask, prioritize workloads and work in a dynamic environment
