Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kajang is seeking a skilled welder to perform MIG and TIG welding. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of welding experience and be able to read technical drawings. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with specifications, problem-solving welding issues, and supporting production efforts. This role requires physical fitness and teamwork, with a focus on maintaining safety standards during welding operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year direct working experience as a welder, preferably with MIG welding.
• Able to read and understand work order, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Physically fit to perform all duties relating to welding.
• Team player, able to work with all levels.

• Perform welding works according to approved drawings and quality specifications
• Responsible to examine and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specification
• Identify potential welding problem and work out the solution
• Able to read and interpret technical drawing and other written instructions and diagrams to perform welding works and requirements to produce work piece
• Work with Supervisor to ensure welding works are carried out in a controlled manner
• Perform MIG, TIG and other types of weld accordingly
• Coordinate with Production for efficient installations
• De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture
• Improve and sustain housekeeping
• Support in training as and when required
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Role Requirement
