Electrical Supervisor
Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Kota Tinggi, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced electrical technician to perform maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Knowledge of electrical safety standards and strong electrical skills are essential. This role offers opportunities to work collaboratively with engineers and clients, ensuring compliance with local regulations and maintaining high safety standards.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
- Registered Chargeman (A4/A0) — if required.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance of pumps, motors, actuators, and electrical lighting distribution boards.
- Carry out installation of electrical circuits, lighting systems, power points, and distribution boards.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis on electrical systems.
- Execute electrical testing and commissioning works in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure all work adheres to Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations and site safety standards.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, clients, and other trades on-site.
- Handle tools, materials, and client-owned assets responsibly.
Skills
Education
Perform regular maintenance of pumps, motors, actuators, and electrical lighting distribution boards (DBs).
Carry out installation of electrical circuits, lighting systems, power points, and distribution boards in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis on electrical systems and components to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Execute electrical testing and commissioning works in compliance with relevant codes of practice and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all work adheres to Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations and site safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation and records.
Work closely with supervisors, engineers, clients, and other trades on-site to ensure smooth progress of electrical works.
Handle tools, materials, and client-owned assets responsibly to prevent damage or misuse.
3–5 years of relevant working experience
Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Registered Chargeman (A4/A0) — if required
Strong electrical knowledge
Proficient in handling test pin, multimeter, and megger
Skilled in power cable works and electrical troubleshooting
