Job summary
A leading semiconductor company in Malaysia, Penang is seeking a Quality Control Specialist responsible for developing quality assurance procedures, supervising a team, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science and have 1-5 years of experience in the semiconductor field. Responsibilities include conducting audits, coordinating quality efforts, and providing training in Environmental and Occupational Safety. Competitive salary and opportunity for growth are offered.
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of working experience in quality control within the semiconductor field.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001/45001 requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes.
- Conduct audits of management systems and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with departments on quality-related issues.
- Prepare QA reports to inform quality status.
- Provide training for subordinates in safety management systems.
Skills
Education
Responsible for in-process quality control as assigned. Development and maintenance in-process quality control related standards. Supervise team to meet group goal and drive continuous improvement among Cross functional team for in-process quality control. Develop new material / process/ product/ equipment qualification plan and coordinate quality qualification.
Develop and implement procedures, processes and methods promoting prevention techniques and continuous improvement within the organization and with external customers and suppliers.
Employs statistical analysis and design of experiment to analyze methods of inspection, testing and product quality.
Evaluate new materials and qualify machines or modifications carried out in the manufacturing line that requires QA approval and ensure that these introductions or changes have no adverse effect on the product quality.
Support new product introduction quality control activities as per assigned.
Performs audits of management systems and operational procedures and customer audit prior to customer visit/audit throughout the organization. Reports results and recommends opportunities for improvement.
Coordinates with other departments regarding customer complaints, quality of parts, inspection processes and product quality problem and follow up on the corrective action and its implementation status.
Where deem necessary, initiate the defect containment activities through suspending the delivery/warehousing/production.
Identify important quality problems and work with team for process compliance improvement.
Prepare QAP for QA related activities including the implementation of ECR and subsequently revise and update changes as per the procedures for document control.
Timely issue of QA Report to inform the quality situation of each process to the related department.
Provides the training for subordinates and contractors (if any), in the Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems, where necessary.
To carry out assignments and assist QA Manager and above in overall quality assurance activities as per required.
To ensure that quality activities performed by incumbent and subordinates (if any) fall in line with MS ISO 9001 and ISO 14001/45001 procedures.
Education : Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent.
Experience : At least 1-5 year(s) of working experience in the QC field at semiconductor field is required
Skill :QC 7 Tools, SPC, FMEA.
Special Requirement : Strong knowledge and exposure in semiconductor processes and familiar with ISO9001, ISO 14001/45001 requirement
