Candidates must have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in a similar role. The Assistant Manager, Operations/Maintenance oversees the daily operations and maintenance of the shopping malls, ensuring optimal performance and safety of all mechanicalandelectrical(M&E)systems.Thisrolerequires extensiveknowledgeof M&E engineering and Green Building Index (GBI) standards to maintain a sustainable and energy-efficient environment.
- Overseemaintenanceandsecurity oftheshoppingmallstoensuresmooth and efficient functioning.
- Developandimplementoperationalpoliciesandprocedures.
- Coordinatewithvariousdepartmentstomeetthemalls’operationalneeds.
- Lead themaintenanceteams toensureallM&Esystems, includingHVAC, elevators, escalators, and lighting, are functioning optimally.
- Scheduleandsupervisepreventiveandcorrectivemaintenanceactivities.
- Manageandcoordinatewithexternalcontractorsandserviceproviders.
- ImplementandmaintainGBIstandardstopromotesustainabilityandenergyefficiencywithin the mall.
- Identifyandimplementinitiativestoenhancethemall’senvironmental performance.
- Superviseandmentorstaff,conductperformancereviews,providetraining, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Developandmanagetheoperationsandmaintenancebudgetwhile monitoring expenses to ensure cost-effective practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards by conducting regularinspections,riskassessments,andimplementingandenforcingsafety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Performotherdutiesasrequiredbymanagement.
- Bachelor’sdegreeinMechanicalorElectricalEngineeringorarelated field.
- In-depthknowledgeofGBIstandardsandsustainablebuilding practices.
- Atleast10yearsofexperienceinasenior operationsormaintenancerole, preferably within a shopping mall or large commercial property.
