We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to target and secure high-value, complex logistics opportunities in Malaysia.

This role is designed for a top-performing sales professional who can manage sophisticated sales cycles and act as a key player in our market growth.

You will be responsible for not only acquiring new strategic accounts but also contributing to the broader commercial strategy through deep market insights and senior-level client engagement.

Key Accountabilities

Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on acquiring large-scale, multi-product new business opportunities.

Identify and cultivate strong, long-term relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers within strategic target accounts.

Lead the entire sales process for complex, high-value opportunities, including orchestrating internal resources for solution design and proposal development.

Deliver annual new business revenue targets in line with company objectives, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and timely deal closure.

Serve as a subject matter expert on the Malaysia logistics market, providing strategic insights on competitive positioning and emerging trends.

Collaborate closely with Key Account Management, Solutions, and Marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and effective go-to-market approach for strategic pursuits.

While the primary focus is on acquiring new strategic accounts, actively support customer retention and expansion by identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing top accounts, in close collaboration with the Key Account Management team.

Provide accurate sales forecasting and detailed pipeline analysis for strategic accounts.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in B2B sales within the logistics or freight forwarding industry, with a focus on strategic accounts or complex solutions.

A strong and demonstrable track record of landing significant new logos and consistently exceeding sales targets for high-value deals.

Deep expertise in solution selling and managing long, complex sales cycles.

Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.

Drive business development efforts with a focus on strategic verticals such as FMCG, Retail, and Industrial, while also identifying opportunities in other high-growth sectors.

Strong financial acumen and the ability to build compelling business cases for clients.
