Job summary
A leading precision electronics manufacturer in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a skilled professional to optimize injection molding and metal stamping processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related fields, along with 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO standards, conducting mold trials, and driving lean manufacturing. Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools is essential.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in molding or metal stamping within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
Responsibilities
- Set up and optimize injection molding and metal stamping processes.
- Conduct mold trials and analyze production data.
- Troubleshoot process issues with various teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and Malaysian regulations.
- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and audits.
- Drive lean manufacturing and train operators.

- Set up, validate, and optimize injection molding and metal stamping processes for stable and efficient production.
- Conduct mold trials, analyze production data (cycle time, OEE, scrap, downtime), and implement continuous improvements.
- Troubleshoot process issues with Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Tooling teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RBA standards, and Malaysian regulations (DOSH, DOE, MITI).
- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and audit activities for new and existing products.
- Drive lean manufacturing, automation opportunities, and train operators on best practices and safety.
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in molding or metal stamping within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, IATF 16949, RBA, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and automotive quality tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision‑making skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP/ERP/MRP systems.
