A leading audit firm in Johor Bahru seeks an Audit Associate to provide quality audit and tax services to SMEs. You will be responsible for conducting audits of private and non-profit organizations, performing analytical reviews, and preparing financial statements. Ideal candidates should have a good understanding of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and strong Excel and communication skills. Qualifications

  • Proficient understanding of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards of Auditing.
  • Strong command of the Malaysian Income Tax Act.
  • Good communication skills to maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits for private companies and non-profit organizations professionally.
  • Perform analytical reviews and tests of controls.
  • Prepare tax computations and file tax returns.
  • Create non-audited financial statements and management accounts.

Job description

We are a MIA member audit firm (also ACCA approved employer) providing quality audit and tax services to SMEs in varied industries like manufacturing, developers, constructions, trading, agricultural, non profit organisation etc.

Role and Responsibilities - audit
  • To perform audit of private companies and non-for-profit organizations in allocated time and in a professional manner.
  • To perform analytical review at the planning and conclusion of audit stage.
  • To perform walkthrough test and test of controls.
  • To perform test of details on material transactions and balances.
  • To report on finding of audit by preparing memorandum of examination.
  • To perform current and deferred tax computation, file tax return.
Role and Responsibilities - accounts
  • To write up accounts and prepare management accounts for client.
  • To prepare non audited financial statements and perform MBRS FS.
  • To liaise with clients on accounts and financial reporting matters.
Required skills
  • Working knowledge of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and International Standard of Auditing, Malaysian Income Tax Act.
  • Good excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and maintain good relationship with clients.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
