Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive testing in the lab as part of product qualification/validation, utilizing both production-based testers and specialized lab testing equipment.
- Perform functional and firmware testing to validate product performance and reliability.
- Review and analyze test data meticulously, identifying trends or anomalies, and prepare detailed test summaries and comprehensive reports for submission.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, requestors, and support groups, to understand and discuss the objectives and background of test submissions.
- Manage the submission of samples to the lab, ensuring proper documentation, preparation, and adherence to established protocols.
- Monitor and ensure testing meets established timelines, providing regular updates and detailed reports to requestors.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies, leveraging opportunities for automation in testing workflows.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation, ensuring equipment is always in optimal working condition.
- Propose and implement innovative methodologies for testing techniques and explore new instrumentation to enhance lab capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards within the lab environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior to support the team’s objectives and organizational goals.
Education & Experience- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or its equivalents with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar field/function.
Skills- Proficiency in functional and firmware testing methodologies, as well as data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of lab equipment and testing processes, with hands-on experience in maintaining and calibrating instrumentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of automation tools and techniques to improve testing processes is highly desirable.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and summaries.
- Familiarity with safety and quality standards in a lab environment.
Working Conditions- This role is primarily 100% onsite; however, there may be occasions that require travel to another site for support.
