An IT service company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Support Engineer (entry level) who speaks Mandarin. The role involves providing Level 1 technical support to clients, troubleshooting simple technical issues, and contributing to documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent practical experience.
Strong fundamentals in PHP, Java, and MySQL.
Practical experience with Git (GitHub workflows) and familiarity with MVC frameworks (Laravel preferred).
Solid understanding of HTTP, RESTful APIs, JSON payloads, request/response flows, and headers.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Clear written and verbal communication—able to explain issues and solutions to non-technical clients
Exposure to manual testing, test case preparation, or basic automation testing.
Experience with Linux command line, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or basic cloud concepts.
Contributions to documentation, knowledge bases, or open-source projects.
Minimum 7A in SPM results.

Basic front-end knowledge: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common libraries (Bootstrap / jQuery).

Exposure to manual testing, test case preparation, or basic automation testing.
Familiarity with debugging tools, browser dev tools, and common debugging practices.
Experience with Linux command line, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or basic cloud concepts.
Contributions to documentation, knowledge bases, or open-source projects.
Provide Level 1 technical support to clients and merchants.
Troubleshoot and resolve simple technical issues independently, escalating only when necessary.
Review, test, and verify basic features as part of QA workflows.
Proactively observe support trends and recommend product or process improvements.
Apply and submit code fixes for simple bugs following established coding standards and review processes.
Access source code when required to investigate detailed system behavior and assist clients with accurate clarifications.
Investigate API/integration issues and help clients integrate our services smoothly.
Document findings, fixes, and best practices to improve internal knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with the team to improve system stability, workflows, and client experience.
