Job summary
A leading company in financial services is looking for a financial analyst in Kulim, Malaysia. The role involves analyzing variances between actual and forecasted financial results, preparing GP analysis for management accounts, and calculating profitability by brand and category. Candidates should have strong analytical skills and experience in financial reporting, along with proficiency in SAP and MS Excel. This position will also involve training and monitoring of subordinate staff.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills in profitability analysis.
- Ability to customize reports and training of subordinates.
Responsibilities
- Analyze variances between actual, forecast, and budget.
- Prepare GP analysis for monthly management accounts.
- Calculate profitability by brand, category, and model.
Tools
ANALYZE variances between actual/ forecast/ budget. Revise forecasts for subsequent months and for the financial year.
Prepare GP ANALYSIS to be incorporated into monthly management account. Prepare MCM presentation slides and financial results portion of MOR reports.
To ANALYZE customer quotation costing (fixed fees) vs actual before project team negotiating with customers for price up.
Calculate profitability by brand, category and model, at gross profit, gross contribution and profit before interest level. ANALYZE fluctuations and variances.
Monitor consumption for materials. Highlight over or under charge out materials. Advice clearing of system back flush errors and trigger review for Bom’s standard consumption.
- a) Audit – attend to queries from internal and external auditors.
- b) Production volume history – maintain and update records on units produced and sold.
- c) Report customization – customize SAP queries/ MS Excel formulas and linkages for data extraction and presentation.
- d) Train up, delegate tasks and monitor performance of subordinate.
