Job Purpose
The Executive, Stakeholder Communications, supports the effective delivery of internal and external communications across the Group by serving as a central coordination point for internal group announcements, editorial review, and communications governance.
- The role plays a key enabling function within the Stakeholder Communications unit, ensuring clarity, consistency, accuracy, and professionalism across internal communications materials, while providing operational and editorial support to wider Group Corporate Communications initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Internal Group Announcements & Editorial Coordination
- Serves as the primary person-in-charge (PIC) for all Group-level internal announcements, including drafting, editing, coordinating inputs from internal stakeholders, and managing end-to-end dissemination via the official Sime Darby Property communications email channel.
- Ensure all internal announcements are clear, accurate, timely, and aligned with corporate messaging, tone, and governance standards.
- Coordinate with departments and business units to clarify content, verify facts, and manage approval workflows prior to release.
Editorial Review & Content Quality Assurance
- Act as the central editorial reviewer for written materials submitted by departments and business units, including (but not limited to) handbooks, internal newsletters, brochures, flyers, notices, and internal-facing collateral.
- Edit and refine content for language quality, structure, clarity, tone, and consistency, ensuring alignment with Sime Darby Property’s corporate voice and brand standards.
- Provide constructive editorial guidance to stakeholders to uplift overall writing quality across the Group.
Awards Submissions Support
- Provide coordination and administrative support to the Awards & Projects function within the Stakeholder Communications unit, including documentation tracking, content collation, coordination with departments / BUs, and timeline support.
- Support the Awards PIC as required, without holding end-to-end ownership of submissions.
Communications Operations & Knowledge Management
- Oversee communications-related administrative functions for the Stakeholder Communications unit, including systematic documentation, archiving, and management of media materials (e.g. newspaper clippings and related records).
- Ensure records are maintained in an organised, accessible, and audit-ready manner, supporting institutional knowledge and reporting requirements.
Official Correspondence Support
- Assist in the drafting and refinement of official letters and formal correspondence when requested by departments and BUs, working under the guidance of the designated Manager-level PIC.
- Ensure correspondence adheres to approved formats, tone, and corporate standards.
Internal Digital Platform & LinkedIn Support
- Support the revamp and ongoing maintenance of the internal SharePoint portal, including content organisation, basic updates, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage and draft LinkedIn captions for Sime Darby Property’s corporate LinkedIn account, ensuring messaging is concise, professional, and aligned with approved narratives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to source accurate information for LinkedIn postings. (Note: Facebook and Instagram are managed by a separate team.)
Unit-Wide Support
- Provide general support to the Stakeholder Communications unit across internal communications, external communications, and awards-related initiatives as required.
- Support ad-hoc projects and coordination efforts that contribute to the overall effectiveness of Group Corporate Communications.
Education/ Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional command of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Strong editorial, proofreading, and content-structuring skills are required.
- Prior experience in corporate communications, editorial roles, or internal communications will be an added advantage.
Professional Experience
- Total Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably within a corporate, listed, or structured organisation.
- Total Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, Editorial, Content, Journalism, Public Relations, or related fields.
- Exposure to working with multiple internal stakeholders and reviewing or editing written materials is highly advantageous.
