A leading consultancy firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an experienced Project Manager with at least 5 years in IT project management. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a background in software development. The ideal candidate has relevant certifications and is capable of managing deliverables effectively to ensure project goals are met on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of project management experience within IT.
- Investment banking knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in a full cycle of software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle.

- Track deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the project process.
- Provide status updates to management and identify and resolve issues.

- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop and communicate clear and actionable deliverables, or activities to be completed
- Identify activity owner, as well as a clear timeline and success criteria
- Tracking deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the project process
- Holds owners accountable for their commitments and conduct project team meetings
- Provide status updates to management and identify and resolve issues that may arise and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery in accordance with the stated project goals
- Manage and address project conflicts, issues, risks and expectations and ensure they are escalated or addressed in a timely manner.
- Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
- Strong grasp of the English language
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Project management-related certification such as Agile, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent
- At least 5 years of project management experience within IT. Investment banking knowledge is a plus
- Experience in a full cycle of software development lifecycle and software testing lifecycle
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- A team player and at the same time able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
