A leading investment bank in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Associate Director for the Equity Capital Markets to lead origination efforts and execute live transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, clear communication abilities, and a pro-active work style. Prior experience in Investment Banking, especially in Southeast Asia, is preferred, along with the ability to communicate in Business Mandarin. Associate Director, Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking

The role of Associate DirectorEquity Capital Markets, SEA is responsible for preparing materials for origination efforts as well as executing live transactions. These transactions would include deals in the ECM space such as IPOs, placements, preferential offerings, rights issues, etc.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Presenting findings of research and analysis, valuation, investor targeting and engagement, and translating that into presentation for deal pitching.
  • Quality control for internal and external presentations, pitch books and various internal processes.
  • Execution of live transactions from the various stages of marketing to launch preparation and pricing/closing of transaction.
  • Overseeing and assisting with administrative duties (e.g. roadshows, printing reports etc.), as well as preparing documentation relating to various internal processes.
  • Support Head of ECM (SEA) and align overall strategy and workplace conduct.
  • Timely coordination and ability to manage information flow.
  • Ability to prioritize, track business developments and be results oriented in a timely manner.
  • Investor & corporate client development, including engagement, intelligence, expansion.
  • Ensure data integrity and fact checks on all work undertaken.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of credentials and databases.
  • Manage junior bankers/interns by providing detailed guidance and feedback.
  • Assist broader team as required.
