Lab Technician / Site Technician
Job summary
A leading construction company in Malaysia is seeking candidates for a laboratory technician role. Responsibilities include conducting concrete tests, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining test records. Candidates should possess an SPM or equivalent and have good teamwork and communication skills. This role offers a chance for career growth and a competitive remuneration package.
Qualifications
- SPM or equivalent required.
- Good teamwork, interpersonal & communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct number of cubes to make for different batches of concrete supplied.
- Fill cube mould with concrete in three layers with proper compaction.
- Cast cube based on the standard method.
- Mark cube prepare with reference numbers and dates.
- Place demoulded cube in water tank for curing.
- Carry out slump test on each batch of concrete supplies.
- Carry out the compression test on the concrete cube at the specified date.
- Remove all the crushed cubes and aggregates from the laboratory after testing.
- Record and compile test results for submission.
- Carry out material testing.
- Inspect the quality of materials.
- Carry out safety and housekeeping compliance in the work area.
- Any other tasks assigned from time to time.
