Job summary
A leading automation solutions provider in Penang seeks a Sales Engineer to drive sales and marketing efforts. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Process Engineering and at least 2 years of experience. Responsibilities include building strong client relationships, delivering sales targets, and providing tailored automation solutions. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential, while knowledge of Mandarin is a plus. Willingness to travel is required for project discussions and implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to perform advanced engineering calculations.

Education
- Sales and marketing of company products for various industries and proposing solutions to meet customers’ needs
- Manage and identifying new opportunities with existing partners and end-users within your assigned geographic area
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, partners, and suppliers
- Taking ownership of the delivery of yearly sales targets and managing day-to-day sales activities.
- Work closely with the internal team, partners and customers on the project proposal, project execution and closing.
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate automation and robotics solutions.
- Perform the preliminary site visit/ discussion to understand the feasibility of a project.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in the field.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin (Hokkien for Penang) is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills and willingness to travel (interstate within Malaysia and overseas).
- Experience with CRM software.
- Ability to perform advanced engineering calculations.
- Knowledge in industrial engineering is a plus.
