A logistics company in Selangor seeks a professional to oversee all incoming shipments and lead the shipping division. This role involves coordinating with suppliers and freight forwarders, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, and handling necessary documentation. Candidates should hold a diploma or degree in logistics with 2–5 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with domestic and international shipping processes is essential for this position. To oversee all incoming shipments, lead the shipping division, and monitor daily performance to ensure timely and efficient arrangements.
To coordinate shipments, working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and carriers to arrange transportation and ensure the timely delivery of goods.
To handle documentation, including shipping invoices, customs declarations, and export/import permits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
To collaborate with internal teams to optimize shipping processes and resolve any operational issues that may arise.
To provide accurate shipping schedules to warehouse team for shipment receiving arrangement.
To negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers and forwarders to optimize shipping costs.
To ensure cargo is adequately insured and all shipments are covered under the appropriate policies.
To handle claims for damaged or lost shipments in coordination with insurers and service providers.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
Professional certifications (optional but advantageous), such as: Certified Logistics Associate (CLA), Certified International Trade Professional (CITP), or Certificate in Customs Procedures or Freight Forwarding
2–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain roles.
Familiarity with both domestic and international shipping processes, including export/import regulations and customs clearance.
Prior experience working with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers will be an added advantage.
