As a Business Operation Technician, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of our parking payment systems, ensuring excellent service delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure and maintain cashless parking payment systems, including hardware, software and related infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Quickly identify and resolve technical issues related to payment systems, sensors and other system components to minimise downtime.
- On‑Site Support: Perform routine site visits to monitor system functionality, check for wear and tear and ensure everything is working optimally.
- Customer Support: Address technical issues reported by customers or parking operators and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- System Upgrades: Assist in implementing system upgrades, ensuring software and hardware remain up to date with industry standards.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment and systems, reducing the likelihood of failures.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and system performance reports for future reference and improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of new technologies and systems.
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum technical certifications or diplomas in Electrical Engineering, IT or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in technical operations, preferably in a similar industry such as parking management systems, payment solutions or electronic systems.
- Physical & Mental Fitness: Candidate must be physically fit to perform hands‑on maintenance tasks, including lifting equipment, working in outdoor environments and handling emergency repairs. Must also be mentally sharp and able to solve problems efficiently under pressure.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronics, hardware installation and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of software, mobile applications and cashless payment systems is an advantage.
- Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Customer‑Focused: Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other stakeholders, providing technical support and solutions.
- Driving License: A valid driving license (Class B2) is required as the role involves frequent travel to different sites within the Kangar area.
Technical Skills:
