Job summary
A quarry operations company in Kuantan seeks a Chief Operations Officer to lead daily operations and boost productivity. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in quarry, mining, or heavy industries, along with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role involves ensuring safety compliance and developing strategies to meet production targets. Willingness to travel across Malaysia is essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in quarry, mining, or heavy industry, with leadership background.
- Strong knowledge of quarry operations and safety requirements.
- Good planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily quarry operations.
- Improve productivity, cost efficiency, and equipment performance.
- Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality.
- Develop operational strategies, plans, and budgets.
- Monitor performance, production targets, and key operational KPIs.
- Lead and coach department heads across Operations, HSE, Maintenance, and Logistics.
Skills

- Good planning, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Financial awareness (budgeting, cost control, capital expenditure).
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be willing to travel to quarry sites across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah & Sarawak.
