Job summary
A leading semiconductor solutions provider in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a Financial Controller to manage financial forecasts and control maintenance costs. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree, have at least 8 years of experience in financial roles, and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in tools like MS Excel and SAP Hana is required. A commitment to sustainability and inclusion is central to the company culture.

- Manage financial forecasts and performance targeting.
- Analyze maintenance costs while liaising with various stakeholders.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Responsible for financial forecasts, including yearly target setting, reporting variances and controlling of performance for Maintenance Cost to meet target
- Responsible for tool count reporting for maintenance cost controlling purpose
- Responsible for Maintenance forecast model and planning as well as cost assessment with cost centre owner
- Responsible for Capital Cost Controlling and Analysis
- Drive to meet the forecast accuracy with stakeholders
- Provide financial analysis to stakeholders to control cost and identify opportunities for cost efficiency particularly on maintenance and capital cost
- Liaison with planner and production team on site level wafer charging & change in WIP forecast
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Additional controller duties as necessary
- Active involvement in introduction of automation opportunities to streamline the analytical process
- Key player in the ongoing digital transformation of Finance team
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy / professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA) with at least 8 years of relevant working experience
- Profound knowledge of accounting standards
- Experienced in cost performance controlling is an added advantage
- Excellent English communication skills as well as good presentation abilities
- Team player with strong analytical and communication skills
- Independent and organized who is able to work within timelines
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with non-Finance professionals
- Experience / knowledge in MS Excel, SAP Hana or data visualization and business intelligence tool
- The capability to handle and solve complex problems and to provide solutions
