A corporate services company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Corporate Secretary to assist in compliance and client management tasks. Responsibilities include handling corporate secretarial functions, drafting correspondence, and maintaining records. Candidates should have a relevant diploma and be proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong communication and time management skills are essential. This is a full-time position with five working days per week.
Assist senior and director in handling a portfolio of clients.
Assist in carrying out corporate secretarial compliance works to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Malaysian Companies Act and other relevant laws. This includes company incorporations, striking‑off companies, preparation of directors/shareholders resolutions for on‑going corporate secretarial matters, opening of bank accounts and change of signatories, submitting forms to SSM etc.
Draft administrative correspondences, including minutes and business letters.
To correspond with clients, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia and other relevant authorities in connection with Company Secretarial matters.
Update and maintain all relevant records, books, forms and documents.
Monitoring deadlines and follow‑up dates.
Other admin or ad hoc duties as required or instructed by director (i.e. issuing official receipts etc).
Responsible in carrying out all aspects of company secretarial functions (e.g., preparing resolutions, AGM/EGM & submitting forms to SSM).
Familiar with Companies Act 2016, able to do online submission of docs eg INCORPORATION, ROA, ROM, A. RETURN & F.STATEMENTS (MBRS).
RequirementsCandidatemust possess at least SPM, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Secretarial or equivalent.
Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with mandarin speaking clients.
Time management skill essential to meet deadlines.
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Past working experience in the related field is an added advantage.
Good interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
