Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Cambridge - Salary £55k - £65k + excellent benefits

A brand-new opportunity for an academically gifted and articulate Senior Mechanical Engineer with a passion for innovation and a flair for developing novel solutions for complex problems has arisen with an expanding technology development company based in Cambridge. Their success at developing cutting edge regulated devices in the fields of Drug Delivery, Surgical Devices and Diagnostics Technology has already earned them accolades within the global medical device marketplace.

This is a truly exciting opportunity for an outstanding Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a business where you will be part of a team seeing brand new technology from concept generation right through to product launch.

As the Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Understanding a problem and creating concepts
• Building proof-of-principle test rigs in laboratory to demonstrate a solution
• Project Management
• Team leadership
• Prototyping and testing
• Design for manufacture and assembly
• Reporting on work and presenting to clients

Requirements:

• A first or upper second BEng/MEng degree in engineering from a leading university and excellent A-levels including maths
• A PhD and/or commercial experience in technical product development
• An enthusiasm for innovation and the tenacity to succeed
• The ambition to grow your career with a rapidly expanding company
• Eligibility to work in the UK
