Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking Production Operatives in Newport for electronic and mechanical assembly. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in electronics assembly, with soldering expertise preferred. The role offers flexible 37.5 hours per week, starting at £12.21, with opportunities for extension beyond the initial trial period.
Qualifications
- A good level of previous electronics assembly experience.
- Experience within the aerospace or automotive industries preferred.
- Experience of SMT is an advantage.

Skills
Position: Production Operatives (Electronics) – Newport
Industry: Manufacturing
Location: Newport
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working between 6.30am and 5pm)
Days: Monday - Friday
Duration: initial 4 week trial, may then be extended to 12 weeks and potentially temp to perm for the right candidate.
- Electronic and mechanical assembly, using a variety of plastic components and connectors, printed circuit boards and cables.
- Use of hand and small power tools
- Working to technical specifications, schedules and quality standards.
- Adherence to health & safety.
- A good level of previous electronics assembly experience is required, soldering experience is an advantage.
- Experience within the aerospace or automotive industries is preferred.
- Experience of SMT an advantage.
- Must have good attention to detail, manual dexterity and high-quality standards.
- Must be able to work on own initiative, to instruction and timescales, as well as part of a team.
Starting on £12.21 ( increasing after 12 weeks )
