Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer – Location: Dartford – Salary: up to GBP40,000

Are you a mechanically minded problem–solver with a passion for turning ideas into real–world solutions?

We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their experience in Mechanical Design Engineering. SolidWorks Composer experience preferred and sheet metal and engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial concept ideas
• Produce 3D models predominantly with some 2D design work
• Create detailed parts drawings
• Sourcing and ordering components from suppliers
• Support prototyping and testing phases
• Hand over designs to production
• Prepare technical manuals
• Participate in on-site installations at client locations
• Create technical documentation
• Occasional international travel required to sign off installations
• Experience SolidWorks Composer for rendering and assembly documentation is a requirement

Experience

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• A strong knowledge and experience using SolidWorks Composer (preferred)
• Previous works in sheet metal/fabrication
• Ideally have experience with cradle to grave project management
