Weare excited to advertise a permanent Outpatient Supervisor position for 37.5hours per week, to join our Outpatient Administration team.

Thesuccessful applicant will be responsible for providing supervision to a teamof Clerical Officers at Chapel Allerton Hospital.

TheOutpatient Administration team are based across five sites Leeds GeneralInfirmary, Chapel Allerton Hospital, Seacroft Hospital, Wharfedale Hospitaland St James University Hospital; and they also support two CommunityDiagnostic Centres at Beeston and Armley. The Outpatient Administration teamcollaborate with the Referral and Booking Service, Outpatient Nursing,Switchboard, Phlebotomy and the Robotic Process Automation team. Together weform the Outpatient Clinical Service Unit.

Flexibleworking including some working from home can be supported in this role, butregular on-site working is required to ensure adequate support for theClerical teams.

Themain responsibility of this role is to provide supervision on a day-to-daybasis to a large Clerical Officer team. This includes workload allocation,organising rotas and staff supervision. You will also support the team tonavigate the Patient Administration System; understand correct processes,support the delivery of Key Performance Indicators and update trainingmaterials such as Standard Operating Procedures. Within this role you mayalso be required, to provide cover to the wider Outpatient Supervisor team.

OurClerical Officer team ensure all paperwork and systems are prepared inadvance of Outpatient appointments. They provide receptionist support acrossseveral Outpatient areas; book patient appointments; and ensure all postclinic actions are completely timely. This Outpatient Supervisor isresponsible for ensuring the delivery of a consisted, coordinated andhigh-quality service.

TheOutpatient Supervisor team report into the Assistant Patient ServicesCo-ordinators and will also work with the senior management team includingthe Outpatient Site Managers and Business Manager. The Outpatient Supervisorsalso support and collaborate with various Clinical Service Units across thetrust, which includes working with clinical teams such as doctors, nurses andphlebotomists.

• Experience of working in an office environment (This includes work experience at school or college)
• A willingness to undergo training to carry out the job.
• Experience coordinating / supervising a team of clerical staff.
• Experience working with patients in an administrative environment.

• A good team player, with the ability to work flexibly in a diverse and demanding environment.
• Diplomatic, self motivated and enthusiastic with a professional attitude
• Computer literacy and willingness to further computer skills.
• Ability to use the Trusts Patient Administration system.

• Good Basic Standard of Education demonstrating excellent communication skills and numeracy.
• Minimum of 5 GCSE, NVQ or the equivalent qualifications.
