Field Service / Commissioning Engineer - Ship Electrification Solutions (m/f/d)

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Hamburg, Germany.

What you will be doing

As Field Service / Commissioning Engineer - SES your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Commissioning, repair, and warranty works in the areas of electrical power generation, power distribution & electrical shore connection systems
• System testing and analysis on equipment and systems on site
• Testing and acceptance of installation as well as the necessary adjustments
• Supervision of sea trials, training of ship's crews
• Presentation and handover of equipment systems to the ship owner, shipyard, and the classification societies
• Preparation of service/installation reports as well as feedback on technical content/changes to involved departments
• Support and guidance of remote commissioning for other departments of the group

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

• A Masters or Bachelor's degree in a relevant area (Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology with strong focus on electrical part), or equivalent
• Professional experience, especially in the fields of power generation plants, control and converter technology, medium-voltage systems
• Knowledge in the field of customer service and ship operation appreciated
• SPS skills are desirable
• Structured and practical way of working with hands-on attitude
• English language (written and spoken)
• Willingness and wish to travel frequently around the world (80%)
